Valve quotes, sized and configured tag by tag.
Service, pressures, flow, line size, class, materials, fail position, actuation. Axle sizes the Cv, checks cavitation and noise, configures the actuator and accessories, and prices every tag on the list.
A tag list is forty small engineering problems. Axle works all forty.
Typical requests
- Tagged valve lists for a project or a shutdown: control, isolation, check, relief
- A single control valve from process conditions
- Actuation packages: actuator, positioner, solenoid, limit switches, air sets
- Replacement from a nameplate or a tag number with a datasheet from 2009
- MRO blanket lists by size and class
- Pressure safety valves from a relieving scenario
What Axle reads from them
- Service, fluid and phase; P1, P2 and differential; temperature
- Flow at minimum, normal and maximum
- Line size, pressure class, end connections
- Body and trim materials, shutoff class, fail position
- Actuator type, air supply, signal, accessories
- Area classification, customer specifications, approved manufacturers
Sized by the standard, configured to the spec.
Cv, cavitation, noise, actuator thrust: Axle runs the sizing the way the valve manufacturer's own tool does, then builds the configuration around it.
Selection, configuration and sizing
- Required Cv at each flow case per IEC 60534 / ISA, and the percent open at each
- Valve type and body size: globe, ball, butterfly, eccentric plug, sized to the line and the rangeability
- Trim characteristic and size, materials for the service, shutoff class
- Cavitation, flashing and noise checks against the valve's limits
- Actuator sizing with safety factor, fail action, positioner, solenoid, switches, air set
- Relief valve orifice and set pressure per API 520 and 526 where PSVs are on the list
Validated before review
- Percent open at normal flow inside the controllable range
- Cavitation index and predicted noise inside the valve's limits
- Pressure class and materials against the service and the spec
- Actuator thrust or torque with safety factor at shutoff
- Fail position and accessories per the customer's standard
- Every tag on the list accounted for, none silently dropped
- Vendor pricing current, margin above floor, lead time per tag
One control valve from the tag list, sized and checked.

Connectors are scoped per deployment. Where a system has no API, Axle works from the exports and files you already produce.
Valve questions.
What sizing standard does Axle use for control valves?
IEC 60534 / ISA 75.01 for Cv, with cavitation and noise checks against the manufacturer's published limits. The inputs and results are shown on the datasheet.
Can it work a full tag list, not just one valve?
That's the point. It works every tag, flags the ones with missing data, and never drops a tag silently. A forty-tag list is forty sizings, priced.
Does it handle relief valves?
Yes, where a relieving scenario is given: orifice selection and set pressure per API 520 and 526, with the calculation shown for the reviewer.
