Industries

Wherever the product has to be engineered to the application.

Axle works across technical industrial sales. The category is broad because the work is the same: read the application, select and configure the right product, size it where the physics requires, price it, validate it, quote it. The vocabulary changes by industry. The job doesn't.

Six industries

Same system. Your terminology.

Rotating equipment

Pumps & Fluid Handling

Typical RFQs: transfer, process, chemical injection, sump and booster duties, often with a partial spec and a deadline. Axle reads flow, head, fluid properties, temperature, viscosity, solids, NPSHa, suction conditions, wetted materials, seal requirements, motor and power, environment.

Selects the pump type and model on the curve, checks NPSH margin and motor sizing, configures seals, baseplates, couplings and guards, builds the BOM with drivers and accessories, and produces the quote, submittal and curve package.

Rotating equipment

Compressors & Rotating Equipment

Typical RFQs: plant air, process gas, vapor recovery, blowers and vacuum, packaged or bare. Axle reads capacity, suction and discharge pressure, gas composition, temperature, duty cycle, altitude, driver type and site power.

Selects compressor type and frame, configures drivers, coolers, receivers, dryers, controls and skids, sizes for the duty with the required margins, and produces the quote and submittal package.
See the compressors page →
Flow control

Valves & Flow Control

Typical RFQs: control, isolation, safety relief and specialty valves, alone or as a tagged list. Axle reads service, pressure class, temperature, line size, fluid, required Cv, shutoff class, materials, fail position, actuation and accessories.

Sizes Cv and checks noise and cavitation where relevant, selects body, trim, seat and materials, configures actuators, positioners, solenoids and limit switches, and quotes tag by tag.

Measurement

Instrumentation & Controls

Typical RFQs: transmitters, switches, gauges, analyzers and their accessories, usually from a tag list or a datasheet with a manufacturer preference. Axle reads process conditions, pressure and temperature, measurement ranges, output signals, process connections, wetted materials, enclosure and hazardous-area requirements, approvals and certifications.

Selects the instrument and manufacturer equivalent where substitution is allowed, configures ranges, materials, connections, mounting and accessories, checks area classification and approvals, and quotes with datasheets attached.
See the instrumentation page →
Automation

Industrial Automation

Typical RFQs: control panels, PLC and HMI systems, drives, I/O expansion and retrofits, often from a control narrative or an I/O list. Axle reads I/O counts and types, network requirements, motor and drive lists, enclosure environment, voltage and listing requirements.

Selects controllers, I/O, drives, HMIs and networking, configures the panel BOM down to terminals, breakers and wire, checks compatibility and listing requirements, and quotes the assembly with labor where you quote it.
See the automation page →
Power

Electrical & Power

Typical RFQs: motors, MCCs, switchgear, transformers, distribution and protection equipment, from a load list or an equipment schedule. Axle reads load, voltage, phase, fault current, enclosure ratings, coordination requirements and site conditions.

Selects and configures equipment to the load and fault current, checks ratings and coordination inputs, builds the BOM with cable, breakers and accessories, and quotes with the required data sheets.

Configured to how you work

Six industries. Not six limits.

The system that reads a spec, selects and sizes the product, prices it and validates it is the same for every customer. What's configured is yours.

The same for everyone

  • Reading requests in any format and extracting the application
  • Product selection, configuration and sizing engines
  • Vendor pricing collection, customer pricing and margin rules
  • Validation, audit trail and configurable autonomy
  • Quote, proposal and submittal generation, and system writeback

Configured to you

  • Your catalog and line card, with your part numbers and aliases
  • Your customers' specs and standards, and your own engineering rules
  • Your templates, terms and document formats
  • Your pricing structures, margin floors and approval thresholds
  • The workflow preferences your team already has, learned from your past quotes and corrections

If your quotes require engineering the product to the application, Axle fits, whether or not your industry is on this page.
